It spikes every week when the regional TV assignments for the upcoming Sunday slate get published — fans search it to find out which game they'll actually get in their market. This week it's the 2026 season, Week 3 (Sunday, Sept. 27) maps that just dropped.

What the Week 3 maps show (per USA Today, Fansided, The Big Lead):

• 13 games in the Sunday afternoon window; CBS carries 7, Fox carries 6 — the reverse of last week.
• CBS early (1:00 ET): Bengals @ Steelers, Chiefs @ Dolphins, Titans @ Giants, Patriots @ Jaguars, Texans @ Colts.
• CBS late (4:25 ET): Ravens vs. Cowboys from the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro — the NFL's first game in Brazil (Jim Nantz and J.J. Watt on the call). It airs nationally everywhere except Las Vegas and New Orleans markets, which get Raiders @ Saints instead.
• Fox single window: Chargers @ Bills (Kevin Burkhardt/Tom Brady), Jets @ Lions, Seahawks @ Commanders, Panthers @ Browns, plus late 4:05 ET games Vikings @ Buccaneers and Cardinals @ 49ers.
• Sunday Night Football (NBC): Rams @ Broncos (Mike Tirico/Cris Collinsworth).
• Monday Night Football (ABC/ESPN, Sept. 28): Eagles @ Bears (Joe Buck/Troy Aikman).

Why it draws extra buzz this week: the Rio de Janeiro international game is a headline grabber, and the CBS/Fox split flipped, so a lot of viewers are seeing their local listings change from last week.
